Groups for young people

These groups run during week and at weekends and offer young people the full experience of animal husbandry. They also learn the skills needed to build and maintain the animal housing, fencing and land. There is always time for lots of cuddles and play as well.
Learning the craft of
smallholding
Monthly workshops for members
There are opportunities to learn how to hand milk, manage land, incubate chickens and raise animals for meat. and much more. As well as offering ‘in house’ workshops on animal husbandry and smallholding for members for free we will also be inviting friends with skills in herbalism, permaculture and foraging and there will be a fee to cover their time which we will all share. We are also able to discuss through with you the paperwork side of things and share resources. See the membership page for how to join

The following are just some of the things on offer during 2024 and the general format for every event is hands on experience, discussion, delicious lunch and tea/ coffee and cake. 11am to 3pm. From learning how to butcher your own pig and making charcuterie to milking and cheese making.
