Rhythm of Life Day

Service Description

Each week the Haven Benefice offers and opportunity for you to find sanctuary and peace in a rhythm bounded by food, work and prayer. We are a daily commune gathered around the teachings of Jesus and as such are open to everyone. We offer simple and quiet prayer times and the opportunity to work creatively with others and share in meals as a community. You are welcome to join us for a day or half a day, regularly or occasionally and all activities are optional. On a Wednesday and Saturday we are based at St Marys Church Brading where there is an opportunity to help in the Eco market and with the animals of the farm, herb garden, vegetable growing and tending the land. On Thursdays we are based at St Helens church and Eco churchyard, working in the conservation areas, woodworking, and arts projects for a quieter day. Timetable for the day Optional 8.30 feed the animals 9.30 prayers, 10am coffee, 10.30-12.30 work, 1pm lunch, 2pm Prayers, “.30 work, 4pm tea, 4.30 close of the day. Optional 5pm feed the animals Coffee, tea and cake and a light lunch of soup and bread and cheese is available each day.
